I have a 2016 Subaru Forester with a persistent “passenger airbag off” message and an illuminated airbag light on the instrument cluster. My current code reader doesn’t have the capacity to read any codes associated with that system, so any advice about an affordable code reader that would work for this particular problem would be welcome. I have a 2005 Camry that I don’t plan on driving much. First time I have had to consider time recommendations over mileage. Should all time constrained maintenance, such as changing your oil once every 6 months (even if you don’t go 5000 miles in that time) be strictly followed? Opinions seem to vary from person to person. I can see how if you just let your car sit, that it could cause some problems. Very hot outside. Started car with a/c already on full blast (factor?). Car started shaking, put it in reverse to backup and steering wheel VERY hard to turn and brakes VERY hard to apply. Turned a/c and car off, waited 5 minutes, started it again and drove home with no a/c and no further issues. This has happened before. What is wrong? Help!! And Thank You!!

2005 dodge neon. This was a problem a few months ago. The cable going from ignition to shifter was the problem. I removed the cable at the ignition, and it worked perfect. Till today. Again, the key will not move either way. Is it the ignition this time? is it something else? Hello! I hope someone has some ideas about the source of this noise. It appears when I drive/turn on low speeds (like when parking) and it comes in and out - it is not a constant sound, but instead feels like it goes through a cycle - rising and falling. Before going off to college, I had my car carefully inspected by a trusted mechanic whom I asked to inform me of any major problems. That is to say, the car has none now. However, I just noticed (don't ask how I didn't notice before) that whenever I turn at a low speed, such as maneuvering in parking lots, there is a bit of squealing. Everything works perfectly, and the squealing isn't hideously loud-- it's just loud enough. What might cause this, and how can I fix it?

It turns over, and scattered weak pops indicate that there’s rudimentary combustion going on, but it does not catch. I’ve pulled the plugs, there was spark, but very weak. The transmission has completely malfunctioned. The car started stalling in traffic. It then stopped registering gears and stopped pulling. The car was taken to a shop who stated transmissions issues along with a brake assist failure. The torque converter has not been released by Toyota. My car has 139000 miles. Today I turned the key to start up my car and all the lights (headlights and instrument panel) came on bright and normal, but the engine made absolutely no sound. It wouldn't start, it didn't even try to crank, it was like it there was no motor at all in it. I sat there for about 10 minutes and tried again, voila! it started without any problems.
