Massive bill for a simple fix. It got me think back to my dads mk3 mondeo which was meant to be a bumper off job to swap a headlight bulb. I think the 2nd gen Renault Megane was the same. What else is there out there that requires a degree in engineering, a 4 poster lift and a snap on lorry full of tools to change a fuse or something equally as easy?

I need to allow a relative to drive my car for a day at the end of the month, I have spoken to my insurer and on principle they allow this as long a it is specific temporary cover as the underwriter doesn't allow dual insurance.How does this work? Any stand out companies that you have used?

Many decades ago we needed trade unions to protect employees from blood-sucking SMEs. All due respect to the current Puma, which is a decent car that drives well, but there is only one in my eyes.I had a Mk1 Puma 1.7 in Moondust Silver when I was 21 as my daily car. New car time for me. I picked this up this week after a 6 week delay thanks to the JLR cyber attack. I ordered it back in June so the overall wait hasn't been terrible. It replaces an M3 Touring that was great but felt a bit small at times. Since the Octa was announced I've loved the idea and all reviews of it are fantastic. The new Defender has grown on me since its introduction and the Octa really does seem to be a car that ticks most boxes for me.They come pretty well loaded as standard. I chose the standard car over the Edition One as I'm not a fan of huge amounts of carbon fibre. C

Fantastic choice, both colour and wheel selection!They now offer an amazing blue on the Octa, saw it at Goodwood in this and as much as I love the gold, this would be my choice.

Maroc Challenge rules stipulate the need to carry sand tracks, a shovel and extra fuel. A second spare is strongly recommended. Although this is extra weight high up it is within the manufacturers limit for the LR expedition rack.
