I got my renewal from Admiral last week and it had increased 25% (not due to any changes on my end).I shopped around and got it 25% cheaper elsewhere.I call Admiral to cancel the renewal, they ask why, explain the economy is bad (literally, the guy tried to give me a 60 second lesson on economics) and tried the usual retention pitch. I said thanks but no thanks, please cancel renewal. Some of you may know my thread on here, the big bangle booty 635D which is the previous generation to this one! That's just sailed off with it's new owner, and has been replaced with a thoroughly predictable 640D.I always really loved these when they came out, but they were never in budget! That's just sailed off with it's new owner, and has been replaced with a thoroughly predictable 640D.I always really loved these when they came out, but they were never in budget! From that issue of Autocar, these images were the main ones that just made my jaw drop. I couldn't believe how stunning this car looked. I was 25 at the time. Now 60, and the passage of time has just reinforced its timeless looks and perfect proportions. Lovely big motor. One of these is high on my next car list. Not overly fussed on 2 doors or 4. Did you view many before purchasing this one? Don't see many for sale close to me north of the border. I'm hesitant to put too much time into touring down south looking for the right one. How is the HK sound system?

Renewed both cars with DL in January, if the premiums had risen at all it was so little that looking around wasn't worth the bother.Wifey was with Saga, they raise it substantially every year and did so again this time, quote was £100 above DL's, once again she asked them to match and they came back with £50 off, she's now with DL too.We haven't had a claim luckily, touch wood, for many years, don't even claim for windscreens just get a local small business fitter (who the car trade use) for any new glass, maybe no claims at all have helped keep premiums low.Bad news about DL's losses last ye

I need a second car to pick kids up from school, do the odd commute once a week and I would like to do the odd track day in it/hillclimb just for fun. I've always ended up in fast FWD stuff and have built race prepped stuff before. I can't justify the cost of doing that these days but I do need a second family car and fancy something RWD that actually feels like a rear biased car that I can provoke a little and have a lot of fun with on a track day. Which kinda leads to me bmw... Ideally an m3 but I'm not stretching anywhere near that budget right now. Could do with some help from some bmw gee

In general, I don't like four-seat convertibles, but the S Class really is well-resolved. My preference would be an S65 with a twin turbo 6.0l V12, but that doesn't fit the brief here. The E93 M3 looks good roof up or down when compared with the fabric roof alternatives, but I would take a coupe if buying an ///M car.
