배터리 교환

2011 마즈다 6 3.7L V6 푸시 스타트 차량이 특히 밤새 또는 몇 시간 방치 후 첫 시동이 항상 잘 되지 않음. 차량은 그 외에 완벽하게 작동함. 점화 버튼을 누르면 크랭킹이 없고 내비게이션이 꺼짐. 브레이크를 계속 밟고 있으면 몇 초 지연 후 크랭킹이 시작되기도 함. 때로는 크랭킹이 전혀 안 될 수도 있음. 차량을 몰다가 시동을 끄고 다시 켜면 정상 크랭킹됨. 아침에 배터리 전압이 11.8V로 측정됨.

정기점검

1998/99년식 토요타 RAV4에서 에어컨을 켠 후 주행 중 엔진이 꺼짐. 시동을 걸면 다시 시작되며 에어컨을 끄면 엔진이 꺼지지 않음. 에어컨을 다시 켜면 엔진이 다시 꺼짐.

2004 Chevy Monte Carlo A/C가 무작위로 전속력으로 송풍되며, 송풍 다이얼을 OFF로 돌리면 온/냉풍이 나오지 않지만 다이얼을 다른 위치로 설정하면 온/냉풍이 나옴. 엔진을 끈 후에도 송풍이 계속됨. 블로워 모터 저항기를 4번 교체함.

엔진오일 교환

2003 Ford Mustang 3.8L V6의 오일 필터 어댑터를 분리할 때, 어댑터와 엔진 사이의 개스킷이 교체 필요한 상태. 온라인에서 해당 개스킷을 찾을 수 없어서 RTV 실란트로 대체 가능 여부 확인 필요.

2001 시에나가 시동이 걸리지 않음. 시동을 시도하면 매우 빠른 딸깍딸깍 소리가 남. 계기판 불이 매우 어둡고 계속 깜박임. 배터리 양극 터미널을 확인했을 때 단단해 보였으나 터미널 주변에 녹색 결정체가 있음. 전력 문제가 확실하지만 배터리 문제인지 다른 문제인지 불명확함. 배터리 터미널의 녹색 물질이 무엇인지 불명확. 점프스타트를 시도해야 하는지 확실하지 않음.

오래된 닛산 펄서 J1J 1991년식 자동변속기(주행거리 203,000km)에서 아침이나 5시간 이상 주차 후 시동을 걸 때 엑셀을 밟아야만 시동이 걸림. 2주 전 배터리 교체했으나 증상 개선 안 됨. 아침 기온이 영하에 가까우나 온도와 무관하게 발생.

99년식 V-10 Triton이 계속 과열됩니다. 워터펌프, 서모스탯, 히터코어를 교체했고 시스템 전체를 플러시한 후 듀얼 일렉트릭 팬을 장착했습니다. 히터코어 교체 전까진 괜찮았는데, 그 이후로는 시간당 65마일 이상으로 운전하면 과열됩니다.

트럭이 오일 교환을 위해 입고되었고 오버플로우 탱크의 냉각수가 부족한 것을 발견했습니다. 냉각수를 채우고 오일 교환을 완료한 후, 직원이 주차하려고 할 때 오버플로우 저수지의 오버플로우 드레인 호스에서 냉각수가 새고 있는 것을 발견했습니다.

Lots of people doing 60 in a 70 resulting in all sorts of stuff jockeying for position and a congested queue behind each of these road captains.I also saw the example of an increasingly common EV driver habit, which is take off like a scalded cat, then get snarky when you want to pass them at what they must consider an inappropriate speed, their bottle goes, or their car runs out of puff. If, like me, you’re a convertible convert you really don’t give a crap whether other people think you’re a poser or having a mid life crisis. Having the roof down is on of life’s great tonics, adding a sensory element that no tin top can compete with. I think it was Clarkson who said that any car with its roof off becomes instantly miles better (probably on one of their specials) and he is spot on. I’ll take literally anything, however, if I’m allowed to be picky as I’ve got older I’ve erred on the side of comfort over out and out performance.
