증상
새 차량 구매 시 휠 옵션 선택 고민 - 225/55-19 vs 225/65-17 비교. 기존 차량은 195/60-15 사용 중. 거주 지역에 포트홀이 많아서 타이어 사이드월 높이와 포트홀 저항성에 대해 검토 중. 195/60-15(사이드월 117mm)에서 225/55-19(124mm) 또는 225/65-17(146mm)로 변경 예정.

포트홀 저항성을 고려할 때 휠 무게도 중요한 요소입니다. 일반적으로 19인치 림이 17인치보다 무겁고, 비스프링 질량이 증가하면 타이어 사이드월의 유연성만으로 충격을 흡수해야 합니다. 낮은 프로파일의 사이드월은 유연성이 이미 감소되어 있어서 포트홀 충격 시 탑승객이 더 강한 진동을 느끼고 휠도 더 큰 손상을 입습니다. 실제로 포트홀로 인한 19인치 휠 균열 사례가 많습니다. 낮은 사이드월 높이로 인해 얕은 포트홀에서도 림 면이 직접 충격을 받을 가능성이 높아집니다. 19인치 휠은 외관상 좋고 양호한 노면에서 성능이 우수하지만, 포트홀이 흔한 지역에서는 주행 쾌적성 측면에서 불리하고 수리비 부담이 증가할 수 있습니다. 따라서 225/65-17 선택을 권장합니다.

Been and collected it this lunchtime after another test drive and I read the codes whilst out & about and thankfully zero issues Will collect the 18" alloys & winter tyres ASAP and then sell the 403Ms off; they've just been refurbed but a) I don't like them that much, b) not a fan of black wheels at all and c) the RFTs are crap Parts already been ordered (OEM velour mats and M Sport grilles via Cotswolds BMW) and a full oil & filter change kit etcThe parts list will continue to grow haha
