A slushbox is an auto with a torque converter I thought. Although the V6 auto box is supposed to be very good indeed. I test drove a V6 Evora with an IPS box and the box was superb.I'm not sure I get the absolute pre-occupation with 4 cylinders not being enough. Why is that actually the case? When you drive it, how do you tell how many cylinders it's got? 4 cylinders of BDG in a March F2 is as magnificent to drive as a V10 in an R8 GT3 racer. It's probably just in my own head, but I always think the bigger and more cylinder engines just "feel" better to use for me. I used to love sitting behind the V8 4.8 petrol engine in my X5 4.8iS for example, whereas I just didn't get the same feeling sitting behind the engine in my 520d though in comparison. ETA...in saying that, I do really enjoy sitting behind the 4 cylinder 1.8 K series engine in my Caterham though. Edited by cerb4.5lee on Friday 24th July 18:44

A neighbour had one of these and I used to love hearing him start it up in the morning (he also had a V Twin Buell which was even noisier). Top bloke.
