An E34 is so much more involving and engaging than an E39 - where the E39 is accomplished and quiet the E34 is noisy and visceral. The road isn t smoothed away and the engine muted to acceptable levels - the road surface is transmitted to you through suspension that is alive and responsive and the engines howl or roar depending on whether straight sixes or V8 s. The interior is completely focussed on the driver, the seats are separate components rather than a sewn together armchair and you will always, always look back over your shoulder at a ticking and cooling hard driven E34. The E39 M5 is a fantastic car, quite possibly a contender for the ‘best’ car in so many ways, but the older variant is genuinely special and increasingly rare. I’m not sure the one you’ve linked is a prime example but they are few and far between now so hard to be too selective…

Been and collected it this lunchtime after another test drive and I read the codes whilst out & about and thankfully zero issues Will collect the 18" alloys & winter tyres ASAP and then sell the 403Ms off; they've just been refurbed but a) I don't like them that much, b) not a fan of black wheels at all and c) the RFTs are crap Parts already been ordered (OEM velour mats and M Sport grilles via Cotswolds BMW) and a full oil & filter change kit etcThe parts list will continue to grow haha
