증상
98 혼다 시빅의 내부 씰 교체 작업 중. 스티어링 로드가 지나가는 씰(파워스티어링 유체를 밀봉하는 부분)을 제거해야 함. 씰은 R&P 유닛 끝에 1인치 이상 들어가 있고, 로드와 하우징 사이에 약 3/8인치 공간이 있음. 로드나 하우징을 손상시키지 않고 씰을 제거하는 방법이 필요함.
처리 내용
방법 1 - 나사 사용: 씰에 정반대 위치에 작은 구멍 2개를 드릴로 조심스럽게 뚫고(씰 밴드 정확히 중앙에), 드라이월 나사 2개를 박음. 나사로 씰을 당겨서 제거함. 금속용 드릴비트를 사용하고 나사 내경에 맞는 크기로 구멍을 뚫 것. 나사를 너무 깊이 박지 말고 씰에 충분히 잡힐 정도만 함. 나사가 내부 표면에 닿지 않도록 작은 나사 사용. 방법 2 - 훅 사용: 위와 동일하나 나사 대신 구부린 못이나 철사로 만든 훅 사용. 주의: 이는 위험한 작업임. 작은 실수나 운이 나쁘면 전체 스티어링 시스템을 망칠 수 있음. 하우징/로드의 작은 긁힘이나 남겨진 금속 파편만으로도 시스템을 파괴할 수 있음. 작업 후 모든 부분을 철저히 청소할 것.
