A summary of interior upgrades. Remember the original brief? A matching wooden gearknob was her birthday present that year (I know, I care too much) and this was swapped with brute force. Never position your eye socket directly over the thing you're trying to yank off - I had a courageous tale of besting a rogue leather gearknob to accompany my black eye.The wooden handbrake is as rare as rocking unicorn teeth for the 75, but the Freelander item fits with a bit of careful fettling. This goes some way to explain the gangs of Rover beards that can be found sniffing early Freelanders in junkyards
The Surprisingly Easy Addition Of Cruise Control As the 75 had become our long distance barge, delving into the forums had yielded the good news that a cruise control module could be retro-fitted with some DIY. The booking of a European adventure galvanised me into action, booking a visit to Jules to replaced the dog-eared front springs, check any items I may have missed and hopefully assist with any issues that arose from the cruise control fitting. For the 75, you will need: a cruise control ECU & bracket, the steering wheel controls and the button/module for the dash. There are two versions of the cruise ECU, so make sure you get the one for your engine (diesel M47 is SCB100211). Sets are readily available at present.2017-12-26_10-28-09 by Clifton Tausberger, on FlickrAs with a lot of modern cars, the cabling is likely to be present in the loom but unless the original buyer checked the box the actual end bits weren't fitted. It seems the later the 75, the more likely the bits to be in place in the loom. A late facelift such as ours had everything in place ready to plug and play, which was fortunate. The below-radio 'lozenge section' in 75s had many variants determining the number of button holes - ours had three in total - heated seats (that's another story) and an '{i}' button. This button was designed to be an early version of 'traffic assist' or some such. In our car, if pushed it would announce the start of the congestion charging zone, and on one occasion a repeat few presses actually called BMW's tech department. We can do without that.Disconnect the battery. Leave for a while, and approach the steering wheel and the airbag area at the end!First up, the mounting of the new ECU (no picture, apologies) required the removal of the glovebox and the screwing in of a bracket by the passenger fuses. The screw are already present, so simple to locate. The ECU plug was ready to go in, very simple, there's no options here!Next, the button itself. Prise out the centra

Some other manufacturers like Volvo and Mercedes were well known for them tooHowever, this evening I randomly found the following image of a Talbot Solaro, and it got me thinking about what other cars are there where headlight wipers were availableA few others that spring to mind:Any other obscure ones?

Priced at £5000 less with some stonking finance deals, it should have done better.....but was it just too expensive to build? The big gap between the outgoing cars and the new one is a good idea and possibly intentional to create the biggest possible impact. I think this is going to do very well indeed. I'm looking forward to it, and seeing my first one on the road. If they couldn't build cars well enough to compete with Audi, BMW, and Mercedes or lo

I've got my Phaeton with the 6HP to do soon, a bit more involved as a job, but it's already had a box and a torque converter in the last 50k, so it hasn't been left forever without maintenance - I've heard the 6HP19s seem to like to give trouble! It's my first torque converter auto (in 70 cars of manuals, and 1 DSG!)If I'd kept my old E320cdi I'd have certainly ended up getting the gearbox serviced. I bought it with 104k on

Lovely ready and I love your choice!! The E60 was one of the best M5s I ever had - On road and track Use it, and enjoy every moment of the magnificent engine!! I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.

Love shooting brakes where the change doesn't detract from the original or adds something like the Z3 "clowns shoe"or this:but a thought, they've modified the " chassis"or monocoque, so i this ry would it have to go through IVA
