증상
1994 디젤 밴, 자동변속기. 가속 중에는 정상이지만 가속을 멈추고 엔진 회전수가 휠 스피드보다 낮아지면 RPM이 유지되지 않음. 예: 시속 60km에서 가속을 멈추면 RPM이 아이들로 떨어지고 엔진 브레이킹 없음. 시속 30km(약 3000RPM)에서 RPM을 1500으로 낮춰도 문제 없음.
처리 내용
자동변속기에서 가속 페달을 놓았을 때 기어에서 빠져서 공주행하는 것은 연비 절감을 위해 정상 설계임. 엔진 브레이킹은 스포츠 모델에서만 기대할 수 있음. L 레인지에 넣으면 기어가 유지되고 엔진 브레이킹이 작동해야 함. 그렇지 않으면 문제가 있는 것. 디젤 엔진은 휘발유 엔진보다 낮은 RPM에서 주행하는데, 토크가 높아서 같은 출력에도 낮은 회전수로 충분함(예: 게이지에서 1700RPM이어도 기어에 있을 수 있음). 오버드라이브 소lenoid는 흔한 고장 부품이므로 팬을 내렸을 때 교체 검토. 더 깊이 진단하기 전에 해당 변속기에 대해 철저히 조사하여 정상 작동 범위를 파악할 것.

Lovely ready and I love your choice!! The E60 was one of the best M5s I ever had - On road and track Use it, and enjoy every moment of the magnificent engine!! I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.
