What can cause perfect holes in brake rotors?
These are stomata (gas bubbles) in the cast iron or cast steel of your brake rotors. Stomata are usually perfectly round, but may be teardrop-shaped. They are sometimes not visible in the original casting but appear when the surface is machined or, as in your case, worn down. They are a sign of poor quality control at the foundry. I found out today I need to do the brakes on my f150. I went amd got pads and rotors before the ford dealer closed. But when I started i realized I should probably replace the calipers too. So I have a question, should l wait until Monday and get motorcraft from the dealer or go pick up some carquest premium ones from advance auto? I can live without the truck for a few days but id like to finish it up too. Im guessing motorcraft is reman like the carquest. What do you all think?

I just hand my 1995 Jeep Grande Cherokee 4.0L straight 6 automatic in for tune-up (rotor, cap, wires, plugs, filters oil etc) and trans fluid service at special jeep repair shop. Also had the motor mounts and front suspension arms with bushing replaced four days after the tune up and trans service. Now after the tune-up and trans service was complete and prior to replacing the motor mounts I immediately notice more pronounced vibration in the steering wheel when stopped at a light. Take it out of gear and place in neutral while stopped at the light and it gets better but not totally gone. The

Good afternoon all. My car, a 1997 Toyota Corolla has developed a problem I’m hoping maybe someone can help me figure out. Lately I’ve had a plethora of work done to the car. I’ve had the gas tank, fuel pump, all four struts, main oil seal, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, transmission fluid/filter, motor oil/filter etc, all replaced. The car actually runs pretty good, except, after having the main oil crankshaft oil seal replaced, the car has developed a problem. It feels like I got bad gas but I don’t think that’s the problem. IF YOU SLOW TO A ROLL THEN TRY TO ACCELERATE, IT JERKS REAL BAD LIKE IT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT GEAR TO GO INTO. TAPPING FROM THE ENGINE BAY THAT COMES AND GOES. THE BRAKE ASSIST FEATURE CAUSE MY ROTORS TO GET WARPED RIGHT AFTER REPLACING THEM. LANE KEEPING ASSIST WILL YANK YOU OVER INTO A TURNING LANE IF YOU AREN'T SUPER CAREFUL.
