Every day a journey said: Saw an odd one yesterdayPIB 1N.I original issue????Difficult one.When N.I registrations were first auctioned the contact was given to Wilsons Auctions in N.ISubsequently N.I numbers were auctioned through DVLA just like standard GB numbers.DVLA auction sold shows nothing for PIB 1 but does have prices for other 2 and 3 digit PIB numbers.Wilsons have no " online sold search function " that I can find so can't be 100% on this but at a guess PIB is late enough to have been auctioned or sold rather than just issued.I know the owner of GIB 1 and that was a straightforward issue but don't know when they stopped issuing the N.I single and double plates and started auctioning them.There us a wealth of plate knowledge on here so others may be able to inform you with better detail than I can.
