With the current A4 Avant having served Mrs89 well as a great allrounder... mechanically she's been without fault and has proved her worth. Exterior wise, she has suffered and looks great from 10 feet away but there's a complaint on every panel... the nail in the coffin was a side swipe from an errant deer (it didn't end well for the deer) the time has come to say farewell....Wanting something bigger as her car is the family wagon as we all can't fit in the S5...This arrives Saturday morningit's a 2010, 3.0TDi, so the substantially cheaper tax bracket...needs tyres (ordered a set of Nankangs)o

I need to both jobs on my Bork Factor 9 Dadmobilethe steering wheel was a little bit of TFR and a toothbrush to get into the perforated leather bits, but i did go all over the whole wheel, just do a section at a time, dry with a clean microfibre. Then a liberal wiping with DrLeather wipes and then dry with another clean microfibre until dry, i did this twice as the wipes were still pulling dirt out. Follow the manufacturers instructions on these. Then just leave it to fully air dry. It results in a perfect, as factory fresh matt finish... with constant use the oil and grease from your hands will make the wheel shiny again. I clean my leather wheels regularly with the DrLeather wipes. The drying with the microfibres will pull a lot of the dirt out, the wetting part loosens the dirt, if that makes sense? when drying always use a new part of the microfibre, to save working the previously removed crud. The black trim was nothing more than Farcela G3 cutting compound, yet another clean microfibre and apply like you would if you were removing swirl marks from your paint. With yet another clean microfibre buff off. Then apply a finishing wax of your choice. If you have small enough applicator pads you can machine polish.Edited by 89forever on Saturday 18th April 15:09

I've never reset the trip computer in the nearly 6 years I've had it, so this is my true combined figure from commuting, fast driving tours, school run etc. Taken a few minutes ago on holiday in the south of France:It's currently on W205 wheels as the bigger side wall of the 18s helps the ride, they're a bit wider and the originals crack easily:Your colour combo is mega too!Would love to know what tyres your running on
