증상
6기통 BMW 엔진 재구성 중. 300,000km 주행 엔진. RPM 레드라인을 6500에서 7000으로 올리기 위해 회전 어셈블리 밸런싱 필요. 피스톤 측정 결과 4번 실린더 피스톤이 가장 무거운 것보다 5.2g 무거움. 엔진은 30만km 동안 문제없이 작동했고, 베어링은 균등하게 마모되었으며, 크랭크축은 마모 없음, 4번 실린더 보어와 피스톤은 육안상 이상 없음. 다른 5개 알루미늄 피스톤에서 5.2g을 제거하는 것은 바람직하지 않아 보임.
처리 내용
피스톤 무게 맞춤 시 일반적으로 가장 가벼운 피스톤을 기준으로 다른 피스톤들을 맞추는 작업을 수행합니다. 5.2g(0.18온스)은 매우 작은 무게이므로 문제가 되지 않습니다. 대부분의 피스톤에는 무게 제거를 위해 설계된 보스가 있어서, 이 영역에서 재료를 제거하면 피스톤의 강도나 구조를 손상시키지 않습니다. 올바르게 작업하면 약한 부분(응력 집중점)을 제거하여 피스톤 구조를 개선할 수 있습니다. 다른 5개 피스톤에서 추가 무게를 제거하거나, 엔진 스펙을 확인하여 권장 방법을 따르시기 바랍니다.
