증상
Plastigauge를 사용하여 크랭크 저널의 베어링 오일 클리어런스를 측정. 크랭크샤프트 저널 위에 Plastigauge 스트립을 놓고 베어링 캡을 조립한 후 규격에 맞게 토크를 적용. 크랭크를 회전시키지 않은 상태에서 캡을 제거한 후 눌려진 스트립의 폭을 제공된 스케일과 비교하여 실제 오일 클리어런스 측정.
처리 내용
F-150 엔진 하단부 작업 완료. 베어링 검사, 모든 볼트 규격에 맞게 토크 적용, 팬 재설치. 엔진시동 후 약 20분간 정상 온도에 도달할 때까지 운전하며 점검 - 이상음, 누유, 블록 손상 없음 확인. 첫 번째 오일 및 필터 교환 시 소량의 금속 입자 발견(정상 범위), 새 오일과 필터 교환 후 향후 교환 시 지속적인 모니터링 필요. 이후 리어 드럼 핸드브레이크 시스템 교체 작업 진행 - 리어 디스크 및 드럼 핸드브레이크 신규 장착. 백킹 플레이트의 액세스 홀이 조정기에 닿지 않는 문제 발생 시 다이 그라인더로 홀 확대하여 조정기 접근 가능하게 함. 핸드브레이크 반복 조작으로 조정 및 페팅 완료.

어느 날 갑자기 모든 계기판 게이지가 오른쪽 끝까지 간다. 모든 경고등이 계속 켜져 있다. 계기판의 모든 그라운드와 전원 배선을 제거했다가 다시 장착했다. 배선 손상은 발견되지 않았다. 계기판 그라운드와 전원 배선에 대한 부하 테스트를 했으나 정상이다.
