증상

타이어를 34psi로 공기를 채운 후 자동차에서 분리했을 때도 압력이 34psi로 동일하게 측정됨. 차량의 무게가 타이어에 실렸을 때 압력이 더 높아야 할 것으로 예상했지만 변화가 없음. 스페어 타이어도 같은 압력이어야 하는지 확인 필요.

처리 내용

간단히 말해서, 일정한 온도에서 기체의 경우 압력과 부피의 곱은 일정합니다(이상기체 법칙). 타이어에 하중이 가해지면 약간 납작해지지만, 전체 부피에 비해 손실량은 미미합니다. 부피가 거의 변하지 않기 때문에 압력도 동일하게 유지됩니다. 주행을 시작하면 노면과 고무 사이의 마찰로 인해 타이어 내부 공기가 가열되며, 이 경우 압력에서 측정 가능한 변화가 생깁니다. 스페어 타이어는 다른 타이어와 동일한 압력을 유지해야 합니다.
