증상
프론트 액슬의 단일 타이어를 교체해도 안전한지 여부, 그리고 새 타이어를 뒤쪽으로 옮겨야 하는지 질문. 프론트 라이트 타이어를 나사로 인한 펑크 후 교체했는데, 같은 액슬에서 단일 타이어 교체는 안전하지 않다는 의견을 들음.
처리 내용
타이어의 기본 규칙: 1) 트레드가 가장 깊은 타이어는 뒷바퀴에 장착. 2) 풀타임 4WD/AWD 차량은 트레드 깊이 차이가 2/32인치 이상 나면 안 됨. 규칙 1이 필수인 이유는 뒷바퀴 타이어가 프론트 타이어보다 먼저 수막 현상(하이드로플레이닝)을 일으키면 차량 제어력을 잃을 수 있기 때문. 규칙 2가 필수인 이유는 AWD 기어박스의 클러치 유닛이 타이어 외경 차이가 크면 손상될 수 있기 때문. 같은 액슬의 좌우 타이어 외경 차이는 디퍼렌셜이 보정하도록 설계되어 있어 일반적으로 허용됨. 가장 트레드가 얕은 타이어가 젖은 도로에서 먼저 수막 현상을 일으켜 그립력을 잃고 제어력 상실을 초래할 수 있다는 점을 고려. 이상적으로는 타이어를 정기적으로 로테이션하여 트레드 깊이를 균등하게 유지. 최적의 제동력과 수막 현상으로 인한 제어력 상실 감소를 위해 4/32인치 트레드 남음이 되면 타이어 교체 권장.

Been and collected it this lunchtime after another test drive and I read the codes whilst out & about and thankfully zero issues Will collect the 18" alloys & winter tyres ASAP and then sell the 403Ms off; they've just been refurbed but a) I don't like them that much, b) not a fan of black wheels at all and c) the RFTs are crap Parts already been ordered (OEM velour mats and M Sport grilles via Cotswolds BMW) and a full oil & filter change kit etcThe parts list will continue to grow haha
