My heavily modded 996 on the other hand is fantastic - a hugely engaging road car (though the gearing is still a bit too tall for my liking). Steering is night and day better than the GT4 and I use it a lot more as a result.I do think a Spyder RS may be worth a shot but I am not a PDK man really. And the question is then whether it is actually going to be more fun than the Elise for £100k more...I know what I want in a car - qualities I don't find in modern cars really which makes a lot of the chat on PH a complete waste of time for me. But it's enlightening seeing how emotional some people get on here (the EV thread being one that immediately pops to mind)...
