Happy retirement to one of the legendary thread sheds of recent years. (I give it 2 months until it’s called into action when the BMW fails to proceed).
RenesisEvo said: News on my Jazz shed: it's game over, sadly. It popped up a high temperature warning light on a short run (no temperature gauge!), I discovered coolant everywhere when I stopped. Refilled but still losing fluid slowly... Local mobile mechanic had a look, put sealant through it and fresh coolant, it held for a few days but then it was clear it was leaking again, expansion bottle dry after sitting for a few days. It needs a new radiator. If I had time, I could DIY it, but I don't. Sum parts, labour, all the other bits it needs to be in good order / pass impending MoT and decided to cut my losses. My wife and I agreed a few years ago we'd run it into the ground, and here we are. She's been the only registered keeper from new, and this is only the second breakdown in 16 years, the first being a dead battery a few winters ago meaning it wouldn't start. It's going for scrap next week and I will be sad to see it go, it's been a great little car and served us very well. The bodywork is too tatty to justify fixing it and moving it on, despite the seemingly crazy prices being asked for on the market (£2000+ for one that's clearly had a sizeable front impact?!?)Replacement has been purchased but is firmly not a shed. I will continue to read with interest as I'm still a believer in the art of shed, even if my circumstances don't permit it right now.Son-in-law had the head gasket go on his early mk2 a few years ago - stop light lit up on busy A road on a filthy night and he reckons the engine seized within a mile (he just made to the start of a slip road). Cracked rad on that too - possibly assisted by him bumping the front into the back of another car a year or two earlier. The garage bought it off him for £350 which I thought was generous as it was very rough. They said they'd change the engine as a side project - I checked now and again and it was around 18mths before it was MOT'd again. He's running a 2014 Jazz now but it looks similarly wrecked. The rece

I've never reset the trip computer in the nearly 6 years I've had it, so this is my true combined figure from commuting, fast driving tours, school run etc. Taken a few minutes ago on holiday in the south of France:It's currently on W205 wheels as the bigger side wall of the 18s helps the ride, they're a bit wider and the originals crack easily:Your colour combo is mega too!Would love to know what tyres your running on
