Spend around £1k on mods and they were seriously fast, had good brakes, and felt absolutely planted flat out. In the 90's they absolutely were a great car.

Remember we were, as a society, still reeling from the Sierra itself being released four years prior, the futuristic "Jelly Mold" shape took some getting used to, Ford had been selling three box saloons drawn with a ruler, and this swoopy bd appears, then they go and pump it up and stick a big fk off wing on the back, flabbers were whatever the next level up from gasted is. Remember that Autocar cover with the black RS500 and the Yellow Tickford Capri ? Never been so keen to get home and read a magazine.Back in 1986, the roads were still full of Chevettes, Sambas, Horizons and even stuff like Imps and still loads of other seventies stuff based on 50s stuff like a Marina, you could still buy an Ital into 1985. The roads were a lot dowdier then, you never saw a Lambo, Ferraris were a rare spot and Porsches tended to be 924s by and large. My mate Steve moved onto a new estate into one of the mid range houses, next to a cul de sac of the top end ones, his neighbour, who looked suspiciously like Mark Knopfler/Terry Nutkins got one, in Moonstone blue, just a normal 3 door, not a 500 but we just used to gaze at it and would all stand and gawp when it went past, he would always let on, probably slightly bemused why all this teenage lads are so transfixed. The colour, the wing, the purposesful look and the fact it was quite expensive made it very distinctive in the sea of automotive drabness of mid 80s South Manchester suburbia.Do I want one ? not really, firstly not got 200 grand spare, secondly its probably a bit crap now really if we are really honest, its iconic but its also 40 years old. I drove a lad at works standard Sapphire, I was a bit disappointed, it was quick ish but I had built it up too much over the years. I can totally see the appeal, which is mainly looking at it, and driving it round, can think of lots of better ways to spend 200k on a ca

All due respect to the current Puma, which is a decent car that drives well, but there is only one in my eyes.I had a Mk1 Puma 1.7 in Moondust Silver when I was 21 as my daily car. I loved how it drove and went everywhere in it, and the car was sort of part of the reason my partner & I got together. I ended up selling it to move on to something else, as we usually do at that fickle age, but I've always hankered after another.I've viewed many Puma's that have promised to be amazing, only to be let down by predictable corrosion (a notable one being a 9k mile example a few years ago that had a fi

Lovely ready and I love your choice!! The E60 was one of the best M5s I ever had - On road and track Use it, and enjoy every moment of the magnificent engine!! I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.

Love shooting brakes where the change doesn't detract from the original or adds something like the Z3 "clowns shoe"or this:but a thought, they've modified the " chassis"or monocoque, so i this ry would it have to go through IVA
