증상

Falken ZIEX ZE 914 타이어(175/50 R15 75H)를 좌우에 장착했는데 트레드 패턴이 비대칭이고 뚜렷한 외측 엣지가 있습니다. 방향성 타이어가 아니므로 방향 표시가 없고 좌/우 버전도 없습니다. 좌우 타이어 간 트레드의 대칭성이 없는 이유가 궁금합니다. 방향성 타이어를 역방향으로 장착하면 드라이 노면에서는 성능 저하가 미미하지만 습식/매우 습한 노면에서는 증가합니다.

처리 내용

이 타이어들은 일반 승용차용으로 매우 흔합니다. 안정적인 주행, 과속하지 않고 습한 노면에서 차량을 혹사하지 않으며 승차감을 선호한다면 이 타이어는 그 용도로 설계되었습니다. 주요 그루브는 자갈, 모래, 흙 등 비포장 노면에서 직진성을 돕고, 세로운 그루브는 가속/제동 시 접지력을 향상시킵니다. 기술적으로 자갈길이 없다면 슬릭 타이어를 쓰는 게 낫지 않을까요? 더 많은 러버 = 더 많은 그립력! 그루브는 타이어에 달라붙는 모든 것을 제거하여 러버가 아스팔트에 직접 닿고 먼지, 흙 등이 최소화되도록 합니다. 충분히 좁으면 습한 노면에서도 괜찮지만 여전히 완벽하진 않습니다. 작은 그루브가 타이어 전체에 정각으로 배치되지 않은 이유는 타이어 소음을 줄이고 수명을 연장하기 위함입니다. 확실하진 않지만 V자형 타이어가 조금 더 빨리 마모되는 것 같습니다.
