Hi AllI have an insurance question.I am in the process of selling my Campervan, the insurance expires on the 31st.I am naturally hoping to sell it before then, but if I don t then I may need say another 2 weeks at worst case scenario.On insurance do you have a 2 week cancellation clause, upon taking a policy out?I don t want to renew for another year, but I know most companies when they got hold of your money they unlikely to give it back.Any ideas?Thanks Edited by Nesty1760 on Saturday 18th July 12:55

M138 said: I'll give you an example of what happened with me this month.Car renewal was on 1/7/26, I pay monthly, so £18 went out of my direct debit account on the 1/7/26, on the 5/7/26 I bought another car, (been looking for months at right price, so made my move), my insurance company Saga quoted that I need to pay an extra £120 to insure my new car (even though I was replacing a 1.4 Fiesta with another 1.4 Fiesta, just a bit newer) so I cancelled with Saga and got insured elsewhere.So for 5 days I payed the £18 monthly and on top of that wanted £13.50 arrangement fee.Now bearing in mind I've had another car and my house and up till the 5/7/26 my daily insured with them for years without a claim I think they've got a cheek.Pretty much all car insurance will only refund whole month's. Having paid £18 for the month, it doesn't matter whether you cancel it on day 1 or day 31, it would cost you £18.
