중고 타이어의 주행 안전성 확인 방법. 외관 검사 외에 타이어를 어떻게 제대로 검사할 것인가? 손상이 발생한 경우 절대 사용하지 말아야 할 상황은 무엇인가? 타이어가 차량에 장착되어 있거나 바닥에 놓여 있을 수 있음.
처리 내용
중고 타이어는 트레드 깊이를 체크하는 방법이 중요함. 한 축에 2개를 구매할 경우, 트레드 깊이가 같은 제품 2개를 선택하여 구동축의 디퍼렌셜에 불균형 부하가 가해지지 않도록 할 것. 1개만 구매할 경우, 기존 타이어의 남은 트레드와 맞추기. 트레드 깊이 2/32"는 완전 마모 상태로 간주되며, 신품 타이어는 일반적으로 12/32"-10/32" 범위에서 시작함. 손상 검사 시 기존 수리 여부를 확인하고, 수리가 있었다면 정규 수리 여부를 확인할 것(비포장도로 응급 플러그는 불가). 타이어 측면의 펑크로 이어지지 않은 절단부를 살펴보고, 양쪽 사이드월의 마모나 손상을 검사. 타이어 비드(림과 접하는 내부 가장자리)가 정상인지 확인할 것. 중고 타이어는 정의상 림에서 여러 번 장착되었으므로 비경험 작업자에 의한 타이어 조립기 손상 가능성 있음.
