Minor boost leak and shrill tone at peak boost: hose clamp, gasket or blow off valve?
It is quite likely the work performed has introduced a subtle air leak that only manifests itself under high boost. Pressurizing the intake tract with the car off will help you identify the source of the leak. A hose fitting that isn't honked down all the way will exhibit this kind of behavior under boost. I like how Jafro figured out the source of his car's leaks in this video .

2003 Hyundai Santa Fe will start then die. Then it will not start. After pumping the accelerator or holding on the floor and returning later it will start. Nothing codes out. This happens probably 15% of the time. Any ideas?

A friend has an older Miata that was improperly stored for at least three years. Most of the time, it was not garaged. The gas is old, the battery is dead, it has not been started. It was probably parked without an oil change. He is looking to do the minimum to get this sellable, so the primary concern is the initial startup and the brakes. I’ve asked a few mechanics and DIYers this question and so far no consensus. Let’s say you’re 1000 miles away from next SCHEDULED oil change, and you’re about to leave on a 2000 mile road trip. Would you choose to change your oil 1000 miles early before the trip, or 1000 miles late after the trip?
