My daughter who was sat in the rear near side was fine other than being very upset. But my Son who was sat in what used to be the rear offside had to be air lifted to hospital. Thankfully he pulled through and if fine now, but he was out cold for a few days. The impact was an estimated 60 mph. I was sitting at the back of a traffic jam and the approaching driver (VW Passat) didn't see the back of the queue. I guess his attention was probably diverted elsewhere but we never found out.The only good thing to come from all this, is the sizeable compensation sitting in a child trust fund!lesson learned - I always approach stationary traffic slowly and consciously bring the vehicles behind into a controlled stop. I always watch them approach and give myself an escape route. I knew the guy was going to hit us but I didn't leave enough room to get out of the way Sickening story with the kids, you can't always prevent someone hitting you and like you say nice nest egg for the kids as some small silver lining. Glad you were all ok must have been a terrible time.

2002 VW 파사트 1.8T가 시동이 걸리지 않음. 시동 키 회전 시 클릭음 없음. 도어락이 키로 작동하지 않고 2초 후 자동으로 열림. 시동 위치에서 배터리 표시등과 EPC 표시등이 계속 켜짐. 브레이크 표시등이 시동 시 점등. 라디오는 작동하지만 윈도우, 선루프, 파워 미러 작동 안 됨. 실내등(돔, 리딩, 트렁크)이 켜지지 않음. 헤드램프 및 외부 조명 작동 상태 미확인.
운전 중 차량 전방에서 매우 높은 음역대의 윙윙거리는 음이 들림. 엔진을 켠 상태에서 보닛을 열어 점검했을 때 소음이 발전기(얼터네이터) 주변, 캠벨트 근처에서 발생하는 것으로 보임. 최근에 소음이 더 커지고 있으며 약 3000마일 후 캠벨트 교체 예정. 휠을 돌려도 소음이 계속되므로 파워스티어링 펌프는 아닌 것으로 판단됨.
