I recently sold my Volvo V60 R Design, nice car, nice engine (5 cylinder of course..mmmm) but didn't do anything else for me, silly low profile tyres (i know spec sensitive), potentially ruinous in all aspects, and just wasn't being used mainly, a depreciating asset costing me money just sat there! - so sold it, got a good price as the used market is still silly, but good for sellers of course.So, we have been down to a one car family, the BMW E91 is still trooping along, we have managed fine with the one car up to now with abit of juggling, but - I have been tempted to buy a cheap shed/run ab

Look good on the steelies!I used to work for Peugeot and we had a fair few 207s come in with the same engine. They were awkward old things. Random misfires, lumpy idle, retarded timing if 10W40 oil was used, dephaser and chain faults. The worst one we had in was silly - at 48,000 miles, the pistons had vibrated and worn the cylinder walls enough for the engine to burn about 300ml of oil every 1000 miles or so. The fix was to replace the engine, and the replacement started doing it at 35,000! I don't hear of Minis with the same engine having half as many issues as that, so hopefully yours carries on! Half the time it's the high-milers that keep going anyway.
