How many customers a day and how many units are sold per day do we reckon? And how can they ever be profit centres before they need replacing/repairing? No, nobody has to have an EV. Nobody has to have a car come to that. But we're in a place where cars are embedded in society and are going to continue to be, and at the same time we need to move to electrification of the national fleet as soon as possible. It's worth paying for some measures to encourage uptake, as it's in the greater public interest in the longer term.P.S. I'm not a frequent user of lamp-post chargers, I have a driveway, garage and home charger. Go woke go broke. What's the point of Jaguars USP when any old Chinese EV maker can give you a super smooth 500bhp car with effortless torque and eery refinement for under £50 grand? When Tesla gives you much the same with the added benefit of a luxury charging network? Would it just be beauty?That's about the only thing they could possibly conjure as a point of difference but I doubt they can comply with a myriad of technical parameters for a global car AND make something gorgeous looking. The only way of making something quite different would be to not package the battery as a skateboard
