증상

타이어의 나이를 확인하고 싶은데, 타이어 나이 코드가 안쪽에 있을 경우 읽을 수 있는 방법이 있는지 궁금함. 양쪽 사이드월에서 읽을 수 있는 코드가 있는지 확인하고 싶음.

처리 내용

타이어의 나이 코드(DOT 코드)는 한쪽 사이드월에만 표기되며, 안쪽에 있을 수도 있다. 거울을 사용하여 안쪽에 있는 코드를 읽을 수 있다. Tirerack.com에서 코드 해석 방법에 대한 좋은 자료가 있다. 미국에서는 타이어의 장착 후 유효 기간에 대한 규정이 없지만, 일반적으로 6년 최대 또는 10년 최대를 권장한다. 영국의 경우 장착 후 최대 6년으로 제한하고 있다.
