Honda not turned a wheel since Friday, Mini loaded to the gunnels with garden waste, household rubbish and cardboard packaging for various weekend skip runs and used to pick up daughters dog for dog sitting duties Had a wonderful day driving Audi today. Dropped Mrs off at works day out, she alighted like royalty looking for a red carpet, then off across country to the back of Perth to visit my mum, back via Coupar Angus and Forfar. Still impressed with this cars capability, wafted around all day in air conditioned splendour; remember, I'm used to a 150k mile diesel Mini, and just tracks smoot

Car good as gold this morning. Sitting level, no warning lights, wafted up and back to Dundee on other non car business. Day of two halves. Back in Dundee now in wee CRZ. Polar opposite of Audi in so many ways. Never occurs to me to scan for warning lights etc..its just plug and play. 52mpg and everything always works perfectly!! First time I've driven it in a wee while, love the wee car. Then its home for a tip run in the wee Mini loaded to the gunnels and awaiting my arrival!! Meant to say, weather on our big trip yesterday was appalling. Rain bouncing off the road, poor visibility, lots of standing water and we were so grateful to be in the big Audi. It was entirely unperturbed by everything nature threw at us and just cruised home ensconsing us in its decades old leather lined bank vault. I'm looking forward to the winter...if it lasts that long!! Edited by biggbn on Wednesday 29th July 21:50

Never started a readers car thread before. Quick background, was a serial car buyer before, owned loads usually strange or a little eccentric, predeliction for clever small cars and big barges, although that itch had not been revisited for several years. 2019 saw me needing reliable transport that could whisk me around the country cheaply so I sold my e39 525i and bought a five year old Mini One D, most expensive purchase of my life but a car I love. I've added 110k miles to it and am its second and likely last owner. I want to take it past 200k miles so 50k to go. Mrs and I car shared but whe

Toyed with doing this for ages! Hope you like it. Here goes... Before getting to my current cars, I always love the threads where people share their car history, so here's mine! Unfortunately I don't have pictures for all of them so I've pointed out where I've shamelessly borrowed from Google image search. Where possible the images are exactly as my cars were. So, first up...Nissan Micra K10 1.0 | 1985 | 50 BHP | 79 BHP per Ton | 0-60 in 13.6Image from GoogleHanded down from my older sister, this was my first car. Ghastly thing but made a change from all my peers who either drove Mk2 Fiestas o

Fantastic car to aquire. I've always admired these, it's a fantastic design and the interior is just brilliant. I was wondering which car was going to need your soon-to-be-aquired welding skills.

Without really looking for it, I am now the lucky owner of a 166:I wasn't looking for another car. Honest! But this was too good an opportunity to pass up...as it was free. Yes, free - but of course needs a fair amount of work.As you can see from my threads on PH I am fortunate to have a diverse fleet: some in storage, some away for long time work and a lucky rotation at home according to seasons and requirements. Coming up for 10 years ago I started my first thread in Reader's Cars on my 164, saved from the tail end of the scrappage scheme that cut a swathe through neo-classics. It started my
