증상

2001 르노 클리오 1.4 16v, 최근 14인치 휠에서 15인치 휠(클리오 1.5dci 순정)로 교체 후 고속 주행(140~150km/h)에서 커브 도중 조향이 과도하게 반응하는 현상 발생. 핸들을 돌리기 시작할 때는 정상이다가 유지 중에 차량이 예상보다 더 많이 꺾이는 증상.

처리 내용

후륜 타이어 문제로 추정됨. 서로 다른 타이어 제조사는 트레드 패턴이 달라 조향성을 악화시킬 수 있음(특히 빗길에서 수막현상 차이 발생). 확인 사항: 1) 모든 휠의 밸런싱 점검 - 2) 전/후 타이어 사이즈 일치 확인 - 3) 구매한 휠의 오프셋(offset)과 센터 보어(center bore) 규격이 차량에 맞는지 확인 - 4) 휠/타이어가 휠 하우스 내벽, 서스펜션 스트럿 등과 간섭하지 않는지 점검. 상기 항목들이 정상이라면 서스펜션 문제(bent lower arm, 타이로드 엔드 마모 등) 검토 필요.
