It probably isn't worth much but its a great car to cruise about in in comfort and it goes well and the V6 sounds great.I'd much prefer paying a few hundred every now and then, keeping it in good shape, rather than paying several hundred a month to rent something new.In reference to the 1.8 mondeo in the OP, definitely not. But something with a proper engine, absolutely TLDR : old bloke prefers old cars with proper engines to new ones I must be old then. I was 28 when I bought the E46, x-reg. Newest car ive ever owned. Dont get me wrong, I can see the attraction to newer cars, and the wife's 20plate V60 T4 is a nice place to be and hustles along reasonably well if you want it to. Makes a great family car, and the adaptive cruise control is a real blessing for her grotty stop start commute. However aside from the rust and the odd faff with 26yo xenon headlights, I'd much rather drive my 330ci.
