증상
저속(시속 2-3km 이하)에서 ABS가 간헐적으로 작동. 신호등이나 정지 표지판에서 정지 직전 약 1초간 ABS가 켜짐. 브레이크 패드 등 육안 검사 결과 정상. 눈길과 젖은 노면에서는 정상 작동.
처리 내용
General Motors 차량에서 흔한 ABS 문제로 휠 베어링 내 속도 센서(휠 스피드 센서)의 오작동이 원인. 센서와 베어링 내 톱니바퀴 사이의 간격이 벌어지면 저속에서 센서가 톱니바퀴를 제대로 읽지 못함. 간격이 벌어지는 이유는 센서와 베어링 표면 사이에 녹이 쌓여 센서를 밀어내기 때문. 스캔 툴로 모든 센서의 속도를 모니터링하며 감속할 때 가장 먼저 신호가 끊기는 센서가 문제 있는 휠임을 파악할 수 있음. 문제 센서를 제거하여 표면을 세척한 후 재설치하는 방법으로 해결 가능. 베어링이 녹슬어 있으면 센서 제거가 어려우며 파손될 수 있으므로 주의 필요.

2019 Dodge Ram 5.7L HEMI, 100km 미만. 브레이크 작업 후 시운전 중 풀 스로틀로 0-70mph까지 한 번 가속 후 발생. 엔진 미스파이어 시작, 체크 엔진 라이트 깜박임. 리듬컬한 탭탭탭 소리 발생(collapsed lifter 유사음). 2/3 스로틀 이상에서만 발생, 정상 주행 시에는 미스만 있고 해머링음 없음.

I did more track days in my E60 than all my other cars in the past combined I would hazard a guess at. So many fond memories. My advice, put a decent set of brakes on it, I ended up with 12 Piston Calipers and 400mm rotas with all the track days I did and it really transformed it and the confidence it gave to the car.

I'm very observant when driving or walking, the other day I walked my son to school alongside a busy road, I reckon 80% of the cars that passed me were looking down at phones. I had a van pull out on me on a roundabout a few months ago and then slam his brakes on, phone clearly visible so I submitted the footage to TVP and to my surprise they sent me a letter confirming a prosecution. The amount of times I've had to swerve recently because of cars swerving onto my side of the road is diabolical.

I think it is a shame to lose one of the distinctive features of the 944 (the wrap around rear screen).Proportions from rear three-quarters are also a bit too Scimitar for my taste but each to their own.
