증상

타이어에서 공기가 새고 있었습니다. 펑크를 확인했지만 펑크는 없었고, 타이어에 붙어있던 클립 부분에서 공기가 새고 있었습니다. 차를 구입한 이후로 계속 붙어있던 것으로 보입니다. 타이어 기사가 이 클립을 제거할 것을 강력히 권고했지만 그것이 왜 거기 있는지는 설명하지 못했습니다.

처리 내용

그것은 휠 밸런스 웨이트(wheel weight)입니다. 타이어가 도로 주행 중에 불균형 상태가 되지 않도록 타이어를 밸런싱하기 위해 사용됩니다. 이들은 여러 가지 이유로 매우 중요합니다. 주행 안정성: 휠/타이어가 제대로 밸런싱되지 않으면 차량 전체에 진동이 발생하여 운전 중 불편함을 유발합니다. 안전성: 휠이 불균형이고 진동이 발생하면 타이어가 도로와 일정한 접촉을 유지하지 못할 수 있습니다(그만큼 튈 수 있음). 이는 브레이킹, 코너링 시 문제가 될 수 있으며 차량의 기본적인 조종성도 저하됩니다. 차량 마모: 타이어가 불균형이고 진동할 때, 진동을 완화하려는 서스펜션 부품의 마모가 증가합니다. 이러한 비정상적인 진동은 쇼크/스트럿, 서스펜션 부시, 스티어링 부품, 타이어 등에 추가적인 마모를 유발합니다. 이러한 작은 웨이트들은 중요합니다.
