I'd have one of these over an Audi Q9, but that's probably damning with faint praise.

This thing will easily drive from London to Newcastle on a charge, stick it on a decent charger when you get there and it'll be fully charged within an hour. The average car journey distance in the UK is less than 7 miles per trip. Around half of all drivers average less than 20 miles a day. What percentage of people actually needs a car that can do 500+ miles in one go?It's still diabolical for the money in my view though. Not to mention the fact that we've done 30k miles a year in our long distance car for 20 years now as well. I appreciate that almost everyone just pops around the corner to the shop for example though(so an electric car is ideal for that for definite), but some of us do actually use our cars though to be fair. Plus I've also got my Caterham for my 7 mile trip to be fair as well(or under 20 miles anyway), so I totally get it don't get me wrong. That's only done just over 5k miles now and it's 24 years old for example, so I can put my feet in the shoes of the majority of folk that don't drive many miles at least as well. However I still wouldn't borrow this for over £80k though either way to be honest.

Ouch! That must be a killer for EVs.It’s about 115 EUR per month to tax this; although point of reference the cheapest monthly road tax (excluding exempt classics) for something like a VW UP is 52 EUR a month. I happened to look at M5s a year ago (G-gen) and those will set you back just over 2400 a year in tax. We do have impeccable roads though so swings and roundabouts.

Crazy and brilliant in equally biblical measures.

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
