The X5's I've had were brilliant at the going bit, but they're absolutely terrible at the stopping bit though for me. I get in both the 370Z and M4, and I'm very grateful that they both have brakes that actually work in comparison for sure. How much difference is there between your oft mentioned x5 and your 370? Significantly less than 'absolutely terrible' and actually working in comparison I would imagine. The brakes on the X5 remind me of when most BMW's had terrible brakes like what were on my Z4M and E92 V8 M3 to be honest. I have confidence in the brakes with the 370Z and M4 for example, but they aren't great in the X5 though, and I'm not the only one on here to think that either. What they 'remind you of' doesnt make them 'absolutely terrible', I would imagine the stopping distances on an x5 arent far off a 370, or the m4.
