Hi all, I’m fairly new to wrenching and I’m looking for feedback on whether my outdoor setup seems safe. I have a gravel driveway area in my backyard where I want to jack my car up and go underneath safely (i.e. pull a transmission, diff, etc). In my opinion, I’d say this patch of driveway is ‘very flat’, however it’s still not a perfectly poured concrete garage floor, and is also covered in small gravel. I jacked up my car and gave it the ‘shake test’. I shook it hard as hell. As hard as I could without getting a running start. And everything actually felt really solid. But, I’ll admit I noti

to me it looks to be safe even to put a mattress and sleep under there I’m not sure “wheel cribs” will help a lot, as likely you would need to pull tires at some point

2007 지프 커맨더(AWD) - 철도 건널목 통과 후 모든 기어 상실 (P, R, N, D 불가). 트랜스미션 유체 수위는 정상. 기어 레버 조작 시 저항감 없음. 기어 잠금 및 변속 메커니즘 부위에서 음향 및 작동감 없음. 기계식 링키지 파손 의심.

2004년형 포드 F350 SD(자동변속기)를 구입 예정인데 트랜스미션/엔진 경고등이 켜있는 상태. 최악의 경우를 대비하여 도너 트랜스미션(및 트랜스퍼 케이스 가능성)을 찾고 있음. F250과 F350 모델 간, 여러 연식 간에 호환성이 있는 것으로 보이지만 100% 확실하지 않음.

Mine was doomed by corrosion in the bulkhead at just 75K miles, which was strange to see as the 166 really was much better rustproofed than the 156-platform cars, and had if I recall correctly an aluminium subframe at the front too.Oh that was a Ti as well - very nice. What was your experience with the ride quality and tyre noise/tramlining? Mine was in knackered condition and I wanted teledials visually, it has made a huge difference.
