제조사 권장 오일 점도 0W-20에서 팬사이트에서 추천하는 5W-40으로 변경 시 연비, 엔진 마모, 일상 주행 성능에 미치는 영향 문의
0W-20에서 5W-40으로 변경 시 엔진에 손상을 주지는 않지만 오일펌프가 더 많은 일을 하게 됨. 극도로 더운 기후에서는 5 점도가 제조사 예상에 더 가까울 수 있음. 추가 부하가 반드시 추가 마모를 의미하지는 않으며, 열 발생량과 배열 능력이 마모를 결정함. 오일펌프는 단순하고 매우 내구성 있는 부품. 엔진음 감소 효과 있음(밸브트레인 소음 감소). 약간의 연비 감소 가능성. 참고로 약 7,000km 주행 중 오일은 점도가 변화하므로(처음에는 얇아지고 나중에 걸쭉해짐) 이 정도 변화는 상대적으로 미미함.
