thomasrs50 said: Well done!Cambelts always scare me, well, changing them does.I think my tensioner that I sent back was also an INA unit and it seemed 'rough'. Why did you stick with INA after the first one broke? Good question, INA does seem to be regarded as a very good brand so I just put it down to one faulty unit . I'm gonna check on it in another few hundred miles and make sure it's still fine. Edited by adean22 on Tuesday 25th August 09:24
Day 3 - NürburgringToday consisted of heading to the Nürburgring to make a full day of it, the friend we were staying with is friends with the owners of Vulcan Alpha so we based ourselves there as its only a few mins from the ring. They had some rather cool projects there, I didn't take pictures off any cars on the inside of the building as they aren't visible to the public but here is some that were outside: Then it was time to take the Volvo on the track, a silly idea I know but I thought I had to since id driven all that way The original idea was top take it very easy , however once on the track I became a bit competitive and ended up pushing the car a fair bit, the old fashioned slow gearbox did make this hard at times and I did boil the brake fluid at one point as my brake pedal started to do very little at all, however after taking it easy for a minute after it cooled and brakes came back. The car handled exactly as i expected , very wollowy and a bit sketchy at times as its made to be a comfortable cruiser, not to be on a track I was very impressed to see this in the ring car park, looks like he uses it on the track too. We then headed into Adenau to get some food before returning back to das hotel von Volvo for the night. Day 4 - ReimsDay 4 consisted of a nice chill morning and then heading over to Reims to see the Circuit de Reims-Gueux. There's not much there but its cool to see the old grandstands:Didn't do much else that day but I got lots of much needed rest. It was then another night in the Volvo in some french countryside. Day 5 - Back homeThis day was mainly driving home after the ferry : Google maps threw a fit and took me into the centre of London due to the traffic at the Dartford crossing, this brought me into the ULEZ zone. When I got home I went online to pay and it showed this: Very strange considering the car is Euro , after some research iv learnt that it is exempt due to the previous owner having the car registered as disabled for the tax c

Thermal battery heated off peak by a heat pump might be an advance on that, but is it any improvement on a heat pump run on an electric battery?Yup. There's nothing new ultimately. But not many people have wall space for a blended solution of running some storage heaters while also maintaining the gas boiler system. E7 on its own tends to be rubbish outside of a highly efficient property as it always was.
