Judging by the number of Facebook posts various police forces have been posting recently on vehicles they have stopped, the majority have no insurance or road tax so no MOT goes with the territory. I would have thought failure to correctly display a legitimate plate either with dodgy fonts/spacing or the propped up in the windscreen jobs should be a compulsory on the spot fine but of course that never happens. Three fines for the same offence and the car is seized would solve a lot of that but theres will never going to be enough resource to enforce it.
