When I first saw the phone for sale I thought it was a cheap fake home made effort, it wasn't until I did a bit of research that I discovered it's a rare hard to find phone that's highly regarded amongst collectors of phones.I've searched high and low on the internet and I cannot find another Philips Europorty 'Bentley' phone, there are only a few images of the Philips Euorporty phones and one a 'Limited Edition' and one a 'Nissan', that's all I could findI need to try and do something to tidy the plug, I guess some gorilla tried to remove the plug with a pair of pliers or similar and broke th

Not sure it would be worth the effort to get the phones up and running. 2G will only be on for another few years at the most and if I'm in an area where there was a signal it would be touch and go whether s voice call would actually be clear enough to understand.A lot of effort to find phones for the Bentley but that's what owning old cars are all about.I still have my 2 Nokia phones from the turn of the century. I started my own business in 1999 and bought my first mobile phone, a Nokia 9000i Communicator. This was a huge piece of technology to carry around in my pocket. I still have the original car mounting kit which I had fitted in my Mercedes at the time.Library pic for now but will have a look for mine next time I'm in the atticHaving mastered the 9000i a few years later I upgraded to the Nokia 9110 Communicator
