I have heard people say that cars with HPS and Non PS have nice steering feedback while the other cars with EPS steering's have vague feeling and has no feedback at all.I have driven few cars, A fiat punto , hyundai i10 where punto's steering felt heavy and used to move left and right somewhat when driven over rough roads unlike i10 which was light and move-able with a flick of finger and minor vibrations on the steering on rough tarmac. So , What exactly is steering feel and feedback which a driver gets when driving?
tl;dr: Steering feedback means different things to different people. Ultimately, however, it's about using the steering wheel as both an input and an output device. At a very high level, the concept of steering feedback has to do with the user interface of the car. If we restrict the discussion to just the wheel in front of you, it's easy to imagine that that is purely an input device much like the keyboard and mouse in front of me. There's a very obvious example of where that is all it is: video games. Plenty of arcade games in the 80s had wheels that were free-spinning without even the concept of a center point. This is similar to the Hyundai in your example: you feel like your control inputs are only loosely connected to reality and you're certainly not getting any information back. Once we start thinking about the wheel as a possible output (i.e., feedback) device as well, it helps to think about the system. Remember that your rotation of the wheel is directly connected to the twis

Hi, friends. Anyone know which of the two hoses on the power steering reservoir is the return line? I need to change the fluid in my 94 Camry with the 2.2 l. Alternatively, is there an easy way to differentiate between return and suction?

Any chance someone can tell me what’s going wrong here. I’m used a titan 3/16 double flaring tool and nicopp. It keeps giving me this weird stepped flare. I’m not sure what to call this issue so I didn’t know what to look up. I’m doing my best to get a square cut, then I chamfer the outside with a file and chamfer the inside with a utility knife until there’s no burrs. I’m sort of worried that the screwing motion of the tool is messing with it somehow and instead I need a press tool. What’s weird is I did get one sort of good flare but couldn’t replicate it. It’s also made a few good flares us

Does anyone here have experience with Front Steering and Suspension kits for older cars? [1] I’m helping a friend get a 1966 Mustang he inherited back up and running. The body is in nice condition. He’s looking at it as something to drive around locally, and not as a daily driver or for long trips. We got it running and it’s now registered. His front suspension is sloppy and loose, and has more steering play than it should, (even after tightening the steering box adj screw). The car is 1.5 hrs away from me, and we’re doing the work on his garage floor. We work on the car about twice a year. He
