트랙데이에서 첫 세션이 차가울 때 새 타이어를 사용하지 않는 이유 - 콜드 타이어 시어링(cold tire shearing) 현상 발생
처리 내용
콜드 타이어 시어링은 타이어 카케이스(내부)의 온도는 낮지만 트레드(표면) 온도가 매우 높아질 때 발생합니다. 타이어 표면이 찢어지거나 벗겨지는 현상입니다. 특히 타이어 워머가 없거나 주변 온도가 매우 낮은 레이스/연습 세션에서 자주 보입니다. 콜드 타이어 시어링을 유발하는 조건들: - 타이어가 차가울 때 과도한 공기압: 아침에 28~35 psi로 시작하면 주행 후 38~40 psi까지 올라갑니다. OEM 권장압이나 타이어 최대 공기압으로 시작하면 연습 주행 시 42 psi에서 복귀 후 46 psi 이상으로 올라갈 수 있습니다. 높은 압력은 그립력 감소로 위험합니다. - 콜드 카케이스 상태에서 과하게 주행: 1~2 랩 정도로 타이어를 워밍업한 후 본주행을 해야 합니다. - 부적절한 하중 분배: 프론트 포크를 올려서 래이크(rake)를 줄이면 문제가 될 수 있습니다.

For context: All these rentals were through a company portal and enterprise is the only option, I don't pay a penny for them...... howeverAsked for a Volvo X60 was given a base model JLR evoke with shredded tyres and the normal JLR dashboard light xmas tree. complained and got given a hybrid cash cow as an equivalent (a truly terrible car)Asked for a ford focus and stated in rental request form and on the phone to supplying branch "NOTHING FRENCH" dropped off a 2024 pug 5008 with the lap mounted steering wheel complained and got "upgraded" to a Vauxhall grand land with a red service spanner
