This is based on the Stelvio which is based on the Giulia’s Georgio platform which is phenomenal. Sporty but comfortable and engaging, something that few, if any, rivals match. Quality concerns are also about 15 years out of date… If I was in the market for a car like this I’d have it over the Germans any day.

I ve had the German cars, X5, Cayenne Turbo etc. but there is no beating Italian cars for emotion. I love my GranTurismo and my Alfa Giulietta. Equally I ve had a 650i and numerous Golf s. There is no question to ask. Totally agree- I look back far more fondly on my Alfas (156x2, 159) and Maseratis (4200, Ghibli) than my German cars (Cayenne, 3 series) as they just had more character and charm although I appreciate it’s entirely subjective. If I was forced to buy another SUV I’d definitely take a used Levante Trofeo over a Cayenne Turbo despite the latter being by most accounts a better car.
