The bus driver could not have given less of a st if he tried. When it was pointed out that he had driven down the car, the response was and .Anyway, the accident management company has been on the phone. I can only hope their like for like vehicle is something expensive with a stupid daily rental charge. Bus driver training consists of being able to get it around corners and backing into some cones in the depot. The examiners are employed or allocated to the bus garage. A lot different from my days using them, when Chiswick bus training centre operated, had a go on the skid pan in a route master as a scout, with the guy who drove the bus through the bridge in the 007 film. When they had a uniform, a big round badge, and could actually drive. Chiswick also got a cameo in on the buses, they all went there. We witnessed a young woman , obviously a fresher, trying to get around the island one way in Hornchurch yesterday. She looked terrified, got it all wrong and panicked when having to get around a parked bus into the stop, got that all wrong too, nearly took out a few waiting, but going too slow to do any real damage. Not a learner, out on a route.
