No more visits to the tip, no more nipping to the supermarket whenever I want and instead I go late in evening so I can choose my parking space, accepting I can no longer just park wherever is convenient etc.I'll admit to this being an inconvenience, but the pleasure I get from driving it makes up for that.TBF I never struggled parking any of my 7 series, but I always park far from the madding crowd no matter what car I'm in, although I must admit I went from a G11 7 to an e class cab a few months ago and it is refreshing to drive a narrower car on the country lanes it's amazing just how much wider and voluminous new cars are compared to even a 2016 car, a new 1 series is wider than it as an example.Yes modern cars are too wide and too tall, there was a first gen Bentley continental GT parked at the gym the other day it looked relatively small and delicate sandwiched between the usual mid sized "SUVs"Yeah, I have a Jaguar XJ and parking it hasnt been quite as terrible as I imagined, its 5.13 meters long which is bigger than most bays but width wise its not that bad, plus it has a a good steering lock, a rear view camera and parking sensors.I must admit I avoid situations where I know it will be really tight and take my Fiesta, or we go in the wifes TT, which incidentally after years of her moaning about my "tactical parking", miles away in carefully chosen bays, now she has a nice, newish, shiny, quite expensive car, she is doing the same !Edited by J4CKO on Tuesday 6th May 10:29
