증상

후륜 드라이버 쪽 타이어를 게이지로 측정했을 때 22 PSI가 나왔습니다. 타이어는 30-34 PSI 범위여야 합니다. 그런데 문제는 이 타이어가 전혀 펑크처럼 보이지 않습니다. 다른 타이어들과 같거나 더 좋아 보입니다. 공기를 주입해야 할까요? 게이지 수치가 잘못된 것은 아닐까 걱정됩니다. 다만 게이지가 다른 타이어들에서는 제대로 작동하는 것 같으므로 이 게이지는 정상일 것 같습니다.

처리 내용

타이어에 공기를 주입하세요. 다른 타이어들이 모두 정상 수치를 나타낸다는 것은 게이지를 신뢰할 수 있다는 의미입니다. 현대적인 타이어는 보강된 사이드월을 가지고 있어서 낮은 공기압을 외관상 잘 드러내지 않습니다. 타이어 마모 패턴이 나타날 때까지 기다리는 것은 좋은 방법이 아닙니다. 그렇게 되면 타이어 세트 전체가 불균형하게 마모되기 때문입니다.
