증상

2012 Camry에 약 3개월 전에 장착한 Michelin Energy Saver A/S 타이어 4개 중 1개가 펑크. 트레드 중앙에 나사가 박혀 있었고 급속으로 공기가 빠져 사이드월이 터짐. 주행거리 약 15,000km, 워런티는 65,000km까지.

처리 내용

타이어가 비교적 새 것이므로 동일한 모델의 타이어 1개만 교체 가능. 다만 운전 방식에 따라 달라짐. 새 타이어와 기존 타이어의 트레드 깊이를 비교하여 차이를 확인할 것. 고속주행이 많다면 2개(같은 액슬의 좌우) 교체를 권장. 특히 AWD 차량의 경우 1개만 교체 시 문제 발생 가능성이 있음. 동일한 타이어를 찾을 수 없다면 같은 액슬의 좌우 2개를 교체하고, 이후 새 타이어 2개가 항상 같은 액슬에 있도록 타이어 로테이션을 실시할 것. 일반적으로 전후 교환 시 좌우도 함께 교환하는 패턴을 권장. AWD 차량의 경우 사용자 매뉴얼을 반드시 확인하여 신타이어와 구타이어를 섞으면 안 된다고 명시되어 있으면 따를 것.
