Meanwhile, I ve had an EV with no home charging for 5 years now, and I m stuck paying 20% VAT for public charging, whilst everyone else gets 0% VAT. Still absolutely adore driving an EV though! The sooner we can move away from marginal pricing the better. And the sooner third party charger operators are made to act as brokers not vendors the better. These are matters that will be solved in time. Easily within the next decade.

The price of some things does drop, often electrical items in the past like video recorders, or microwaves, as manufacturing methods improved and became more efficient. However, important products dropping in price as a group is a bad thing. What an economy wants is a gentle upward curve of inflation, nothing dramatic, just a gentle consistent push upwards. What we have currently is horrific around domestic and vehicle fuel costs. That will prompt people to spend less, either through choice or compulsion (as they won t actually have the money to spend anymore). That can lead to deflation as prices drop to make things affordable again, ironically this leads to the product providers having to cut costs, which is often people and the increasing unemployment that follows is what kills an economy. Obviously, that s a simplified version of what happens, but a cycle of excessive inflation in one area can drive deflation in another and that can rapidly spiral into a recession. Appreciate all that, but obviously wages is not increasing that much, to counter act the price increases, so can t imagine how those less fortunate then me would be copying with all this, really must be so tough for some folks.Another side point, news today with prisoners being released early because of no space, due to no new prisons being built, by successive governments, roads in disrepair, defence budget not being increased, all the other things the government can t afford, not sure where all the money is going, through all the taxes and vat we pay, and we were told after brexit, that our land will be full of milk and honey.Feel for my grandchildren, it s going to be tough out there sadly. What were they in for?( for the avoidance of doubt)

This looks fantastic. I think it's got to a point you'd have to be daft to buy the G90 M5 over this or a top end Taycan. Either pure combustion or pure electric, the PHEVs are just a pointless, overcomplicated middle option

Still as subtle as a brick in your face. Not for me.

Other than a slightly bulky rear end, I think that looks fantastic. 9/10. And it's a saloon, not another bloody SUV - hurrah!
