The replacement price is just shy of £1k+VAT, which is bonkers. There is a supplier who offers a split nut for the 4200 but after emailing them they have told me it won't work on the QP. I've got one of our suppliers coming in to make up a pipe so we'll see how that goes. The air con issue was a damaged pipe right behind the bumper so there is a new one of those on order too. There has also been another (well, two) addition to the collection. This sweet little Porsche 912. I've wanted one for years and this Bahama yellow car came up at exactly the right time, the only sad bit being that I missed out on a similarly sweet 356 Super Cabriolet at the same time. I drove it back from Ascot a week or more ago, took it home, brought it back to work and gave it a little check over and a new set of tyres, and then took it to the Southside Hustle yesterday. It drives great, and I am very pleased with it. It is refreshingly simple and frugal compared to most of my cars.
