증상
BMW 328i, 155,000마일. 주행 불편함 없음. 연료가 부족해지면 엔진 서징 및 연료 부족 증상으로 스톨. P0171 & P0174 코드 발생. 연료 충전 후 정상 작동. 현재 코드: P0171 (Bank 1 시스템 너무 희박), P0174 (Bank 2 시스템 너무 희박), P0420 (Bank 1 촉매변환기 임계값 이하), P0430 (Bank 2 촉매변환기 임계값 이하)
처리 내용
펌프 자체의 고장이라기보다는 연료탱크-펌프 어셈블리 내부 문제로 보임. 펌프가 완전히 고장 났다면 지속적으로 실패하지만, 연료 부족 시에만 발생하는 것으로 보아 펌프가 연료 부족 상태에서 흡입력을 얻지 못하는 것 같음 (연료 호스 정렬 불량 등의 원인 가능). E90 328i는 기계식이 아닌 인탱크 전기펌프 사용. 직접 확인하려면 연료 펌프 어셈블리에 접근하여 분해하고 상태를 진단. 부식이나 손상이 보이면 교체 권장 (연료 취급 시 안전 주의). 펌프는 가격이 저렴하고 홈 메커닉도 교체 가능. E90 호환 교체 가이드 참조.

2000 Buick Century 3.1L에서 코드 140 발생. 최근 배기계통 교체 후 코드 발생. 이전 센서는 센서 히터 회로 문제로 코드 발생함. Bank 1 Sensor 2 (O2 센서)의 입력 리드 간 저항을 측정하여 새 센서와 비교하려고 함. 센서 커넥터의 빨간 선이 끊어져 있었고 연결함. 코드 클리어 후 약 20분 후 코드 140이 다시 발생함.
